Friday, 29th September 2006Anti Political Correctness
I've finally uploaded the new site at www.antipc.co.uk. I hope you find it controversial enough. I think Blair and his cabal of cronies have provided us enough material to keep it going for years! Now, where did I put my copy of Enid Blyton's "The Three Golliwogs"?
Tuesday, 26th September 2006Political CorrectnessI'm just ion the process of building a new site which people can rant about political correctness (or the fact it's gone too far). It will be based at www.antipc.co.uk and will be in the form of a weblog that anyone can subscribe to and add their own entries.
So, everytime you see something in the newspaper or TV and you think to yourself, "Oh my, I don't believe they're trying to do that" in regards to political correctness gone too far, you'll now be able to publicise it, ridicule it and generally be totally un-PC about it all.
Perhaps we can start getting some sanity back into the world, and have a chuckle at the same time.
Sunday, 24th September 2006Google Watch
Now I've always had an aversion to Google, ever since it started getting too big and powerful and seemed to think it could start playing God and censoring search results, in addition to passing private information to the FBI. Some time ago, I designed and wrote my own search engine for all my own sites, rather than just include a Google bar on my sites. This means that if visitors want to search my own websites, their search criteria goes nowhere near Google. However, this evening, whilst doing some research on another story I stumbled across GoogleWatch which makes for some very scary reading. Definitely a convincing argument to boycott Google, and start using Scroogle - or another search engine altogether. Perhaps I ought to make my own millions by designing a new kind of search engine - something I've been pondering for some months now, especially as Google searches are usually pretty useless anyway, because they return either too much or irrelevant information. And of course, if you step outside your front door, Google Earth will be spying on you (here and here).
Friday, 15th September 2006What is it with so-called caring, religious people?
Why can't so called religious and spiritual people live in harmony? Recent news would appear to indicate that it's now the muslims turn to get annoyed at the Pope and his recent statements. I think everyone needs their heads banging together - or perhaps even photoshopped together.... Why can't everyone respect each others views, respect each others right to free thought and speech, acknowledge that other people can have differing views to your own and respect that? As David Icke says, the three keys to harmonious freedom are to respect our own right to be unique and to express that uniqueness, to respect everyone else's right to be unique and to express their uniqueness and thirdly to ensure that no one ever seeks to impose what they believe on anyone else.
Thursday, 14th September 2006End of summer?Well, I reckon today spelt the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. Firstly, it was rather wet this morning. And, I don't mean just ordinary English weather kind of wet - I mean 'someone chucking a bucket of water on your head' kind of wet. In fact, I can honestly say that I've not seen such heavy rain in the 12 years I've been living here. Over 6" of rain fell in around 15 minutes, as the drains couldn't drain the water away quick enough and my back garden was under 8" of water in around 20 minutes. It was actually quite scary because I was wondering how high the water would have got, had it not been for the fact it stopped after about 25 minutes, and started draining away. I reckon another 10 minutes of downpour and it would start seeping through my back door - so I was left wondering if I should consider moving somewhere above sea level! Reading about the Drastic shrinkage in Artic ice this afternoon didn't help either, especially as Portsmouth will no doubt be under 50' of water if/when the polar ice caps melt.
To cap it all, and to further herald the end of summer (and reason to keep all the windows shut from now on), I've just evacuted an enormous house spider from my staircase out into the street. I'm sure he'd decided to take refuge from this morning's flood waters! But, I think I'll keep the windows closed from now on - just to be on the safe side! Is that a baby or a bowling ball?
I suddenly thought whilst perusing my blog earlier, that it's rather political/intellectual/serious, so I thought I'd search for some gossip/pointless and generally 'brain dead chav in the street' type links to add, so as to even things out a bit. Finding a couple of amusing celebrity blogs (now I'm glad I prefer the Today Programme to Big Brother!!!), I aimlessly clicked on a few links and stumbled across this blog article on Katie Holmes. Now it could be me, but looking at the second photo down, that looks like one hell of a very strange baby! Tuesday, 5th September 2006The Pastor's Ass
The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.
The local paper read:
PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read:
BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.
This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day:
NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.
The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10. The next day the paper read:
NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10
This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read:
NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE
The bishop was buried the next day.
The moral of the story is...being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery...and even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life.. Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and you'll be a lot happier and live longer.
